Quarles' Powder Keg

Quarles' Powder Keg

We are so pleased with Keg.  Since Keg was bred and raised by us we are likely excessively proud of his recent trip into Canada.  Our friend Ann Berryman, who is from Canada, was taking time for a visit and to show some of her dogs in Canada and asked if she could take Keg.  She told us in advance that she felt Keg would be able to go up in one trip and finish his championship in that trip if we wanted to try.  Of course, we in the dog world know there are no guarantees about anything.  Kenneth and I typically operate under Murphy's Law (you know, if anything can go wrong it will) but figured we would give Keg the opportunity.  Keg did us proud.  While Ann was in Canada he was shown 7 times and in every show received Best of Winners and finished his championship.  Thanks so much to Ann for helping us give him that opportunity.  Keg has also been shown a few times in the U.S.  Most recently at the Chattanooga Kennel Club Show where he received Best of Winners.  We are working on his U.S. Championship.

Being sired by Calvin (Katie's Son of Aires) and having Quarles' Powder as a dam didn't hurt Keg.  He is just beginning to start filling out into his very muscular adult body.  Even as a puppy Keg's muscular build is so typically French Bulldog.

Keg was awarded Best of Breed at a recent Montgomery, AL show.  Shown by Ann Berryman
